Cityscape

Realistic landscape is in line with idea of picture as a window that expands human environment. No doubt that idea becomes vital in the post-modern society with the permanent danger of ecocatastrophe. Nonetheless the essence of landscape is not the creation of non-polluted environment but the special atmosphere  a human being lives in. The feeling of freedom we always connect with open air fills up the perception of a painting´s beauty. In this respect habitable landscapes are much more attractive. That´s why Zlenko has never painted so-called pure landscapes. Most of his works are a narration of the world´s perfection and of a possibility for a human to live in harmony.
